Tuner tool version 0.0.2

Hi friends,

This is a new version of my tuner tool project for Nokia 770. As you can see on the screenshoot I added a piano keyboard to generate reference tones.

I want to thanks people on IRC channel #gstreamer who helped me with this project. In particular to ensonic for their ideas about how solve some bugs.

This is very cool. I played around with it using some actual instruments. With a piano, it registered the proper note most of the time from the highest down to a little below A 440. After that it would often pick up on a higher harmonic, reading the wrong octave or quickly skipping between various notes. It had a harder time with cello notes, probably not much use for tuning there. It registered wacky high things when listening to a little piezo tuner that claims to be emitting A 440 (but with a tiny little speaker, so probably dominated by high harmonics).

This may have more to do with the N770's microphone than your software, though.

Hepp! Really cool piece of software!

I have the same problem with higher harmonics (övertoner?) beeing picked up instead of the base tone (grundton?).

Also, would it be possible to make the text saying which note it picks up a little bigger?

Thanks alot for this one!

I downloaded the Tuner tool from my N800 and the app could not be found anywhere in any of the folders.

Does this work for N800?

Thanks

I can find the app on my N800 (it installs to the Extras directory just like most other apps). But, it will not launch. I'd love to know if you're planning on making it work on the N800! :)
